Minister Patricia Ann Hoffman Queen

Minister Queen is an anointed Holy Ghost filled witness for the Lord.  She attended the School of Christian Growth
and has numerous certificates.  She was later inspired to attend the School of Certified Lay Ministry and graduated
with the first CLM class of 2009.  She is the first Certified Lay Minister of Shiloh Community United Methodist Church, Newburg, Maryland, where she is a lifetime member.

Minister Queen continues to grow in faith and joyful service to the Lord through His word and service to others.  Minister
Queen fulfills her godly responsibilities by attending various administrative meetings and participating in other ministries of the church such as member of Inspirational Praise Choir, United Methodist Women, and Warriors of Wisdom Senior Ministry,
Minister Queen is a prayer warrior and chairperson of Christian Fellowship on Wheels Ministry, a visitation team that pray, visit or call the sick and bereaved members and friends.

One of her favorite scriptures is from Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Minister Queen is a two-time breast cancer survivor, (PRAISE THE LORD!) and advocate for early detection.  Minister Patricia Queen serves happily in the service of the Lord and her life speaks to the fact that she desires to do all she can for the Lord while she has a chance.

Sandra Irene Washington Contee was born in the District of Columbia, she was raised and educated in Charles County Southern Maryland.  Sandra was introduced to Jesus Christ at an early age at Shiloh Community United Methodist Church in Newburg.  The love of God was planted in her, as she attended Sunday Morning Worship Services; Vacation and Bible Studies.  Sandra grew in her belief for God.  She leads a number of positions within Shiloh Community and, a calling that lead her to become a Certified Lay Minister.

The Elder Women and Pastors of Shiloh Community shared an important role in Sandra’s life through many conversations along with their prayers and guidance.  She says, thank you, Lord for his love for her and for her Elders and Pastors who have paved the way.  Sandra completed her course of study and received her certificate as a Certified Lay Minister through the Baltimore Washington Conference under the leadership and instructional guidance of Reverend Loretta Johnson of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church, in the District of Columbia.
 
Sandra loves working for the Lord, she has a passion for caring and mentoring to all the wonderful people that she comes into contact with.  After 38 years, Sandra retired from the Federal Government.  Sandra is blessed with a wonderful family   (a husband, Joseph Contee of 37 years and 5 daughters, 7grandchildren and 1 great grandchild).

Sandra loves the 23rd Psalm and says, the Lord is her Shepherd and he gives her all that she needs!  She will continually
praise his name! Hallelujah!
